North West Passage: The Birds and the Beers

The aim: to see if Don can sample more real ales than Martin can see species of bird, or vice versa.
The rules:
(1) Birds must be wild, and on the British list
(2) Birds must be seen clearly, or identified by their call if there is no doubt as to the species
(3) Beers must be cask or bottle-conditioned, and on the Beermad list
(4) Beers must be tasted, but not necessarily by the pint or half-pint
(5) All samplings and sighting must take place in the presence of both competitors, and be within 50 yards of the bikes
(6) The Birds and the Beers must be viewed or sampled after leaving Dungeness and before arriving at Gallan Head.

In the event of event of a dispute, Dave Rattray shall adjudicate, and his decision shall be final if he ever makes his mind up.
